When the BBC began airing both series on BBC 2 between 1984 and 1985. Episodes were shown in the same order as in the US until "Dark Outpost" when "Summit Meeting" Parts 1 & 2 and "The Prophet" were missed out. The order resumed from "Labyrinth" but "The Captive" was also unaired. The series returned to BBC 2 as part of the Def II strand in February 1990 but not all episodes were aired. The show returned again 1992.
A suitcase containing an experimental box of alien spore 'seedlings' becomes the object of a frantic search after it is stolen from alien Tom Jessup.

David Vincent locates an alien treatment centre disguised as an army base in the desert, and steals a valuable crystal. Captured by the aliens, along with some geology students, he is given an ultimatum - hand over the crystal or be executed.
